Material Components Needles
Allows the caster to manipulate the subject's nervous system, causing or relieving pain, nausea, coughing, itching, and other symptoms. Can be used to aid surgery (reducing pain, bleeding, etc.), or cause distraction (itch, pain, coughing, a touch). May NOT be used to gather information. May be cast on area, and at range (standard penalties apply). Strength of effect correlates with margin of success (see table below). Item could give high-pain threshold, or single use instant activation.

Bandaging Ritual

Penalty -2 (very useful, medium power, some restrictions)
Time 30 minutes
Material Components Bandages & medical herbs/salve
Fixed Duration Days = margin of success (minimum 1)
Restrictions Single Subject, 0 range, limited item
While physically cleaning and bandaging the subject's wounds (counts as bandaging), this ritual enhances the body's natural healing process, allowing an immediate +1 HP, and 6 HT rolls per day to recover HP. He also recovers from lasting crippling injuries as if they were temporary. If the patient remains at rest and under the physician's care, then he may substitute the physician's skill. Item can protect from bleeding, or single use instant bandage. Not effective against toxic damage.
